No, it’s not quite Chelsea but it’s a garden that we would like to think could be the basis of a Chelsea Show Garden!
In fact it’s our garden in Darley Bridge shortly after we finished constructing it.
It has lots of smooth curves that not only makes it easy on the eye but also creates a relaxing feeling.
The garden is fairly small but it gives some ideas as to what can be achieved in a small space.
A winding path links the two patios with an oval lawn and herbaceous borders.
The lawn has 3 standing stones inset to create a focal point from the house and adds interest to an otherwise flat lawn.
The garden has the benefit of sun all day so we created two patios. A small one by the house that the morning and early afternoon sun and a larger one at the far end that enables us to make the most of evening barbeques.
